The programme is offered in four years and six years on full time and part-time basis respectively. The overall aim of the programme is to prepare researchers and leaders with the skills to contribute to the development of new knowledge and innovative solutions to address the health care needs of the country and the world. The programme builds capacity in PhD scholars as researchers and leaders who will work in Interprofessional teams to generate knowledge and apply evidence-based strategies to address critical health care issues. A blended teaching/learning methodology informs the delivery of the programme and the elements of delivery in this programme are: a) On-campus, face-face teaching sessions for 4 weeks at the beginning and another 4 weeks at the end of each 18 week semester. b) Individual student learning using Module-based curriculum management system c) Periodic internet-based or video conferencing seminars

Fees for the Programme

Successful applicants will be required to pay MWK4,730,640 for Malawian nationals and USD6,525 for SADC students payable in two instalments. International students from countries outside the SADC region will pay USD10,244 . Half of the fees must be paid during registration at the beginning of the first semester.
