This is a blended postgraduate degree program by coursework and research (3-4 years). The programme will promote capacity building for the PhD scholars as researchers and leaders who will work to advance nursing teams to generate knowledge and apply evidence-based strategies and guidelines to address critical health care issues in Malawi. The overall aim of the programme is to prepare scholars that will demonstrate advanced Nursing skills and knowledge; expand the research base of nursing theory and practice; and serve the nation and beyond through evidence-based practice and policy. A blended teaching/learning methodology informs the delivery of the programme and the elements of delivery in this programme are: a) On-campus, face-face teaching sessions for 4 weeks at the beginning and another 4 weeks at the end of each 18 week semester. b) Individual student learning using Module-based curriculum management system c) Periodic internet-based or video conferencing seminars

Fees for the Programme
Successful applicants will be required to pay MWK4,730,640 for Malawian nationals and USD6,000 for SADC students payable in two instalments. International students from countries outside the SADC region will pay USD10,244 . Half of the fees must be paid during registration at the beginning of the first semester.
