The two-year programme aims at creating a critical mass of Masters credentialed faculty and healthcare professionals with the requisite Biomedical, Clinical, Social Sciences and Policy related knowledge and skills to improve the capacity of health systems to manage infections and contain antimicrobial resistance. The program is designed to improve key infection related health statistics in Malawi and other countries in the SADC region by conducting research and generating evidence on the nature and extent of AMR with a view to designing context specific interventions for its containment. Students will undertake taught modules in the first academic year and part of the first semester of the second year. The second semester of the second year will be dedicated to research.

Fees for the Programme
Successful applicants will be required to pay the Malawi Kwacha equivalent of USD3,300 for Malawian nationals and USD6,000 for SADC students payable in two instalments. International students from countries outside the SADC region will pay USD8,000 . Half of the fees must be paid during registration at the beginning of the first semester.
